Shaughnessy 2024: Congratulations to our C Gold team who took both the regular season title and an incredible Championship game title this afternoon. Eden needed overtime to complete the title sweep and are now repeat Champs! Eden came back to tie the game in regulation (see attached video) on an improbable play. Then, playing with momentum, heart, and hitting four straight free-throws and key baskets, the team was able to secure the Championship!

Congratulations to our D Girls A team who played two exciting games on Saturday night and ended up taking the Championship home after beating the SF Associates in the finals. In these two teams' previous meetings during the regular season, the games reached overtime and Eden came up short losing by a bucket in both games. In the finals, our Eden team played aggressive defense and made key baskets to take the title home. Congrats to our EBGAL Champs!!!

DOR or Day of Remembrance is on February 19, the anniversary when Franklin Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, leading to the unjust incarceration of Japanese Americans.

Come & visit the memorial marker of the internment. A Big Thank You to the City of Hayward who sponsored a marker and artwork of the JA WWII Confinement. The monuments are erected at the exact location where 600 local JA’s boarded buses to Tanforan Assembly Center May 1942.
